E. Polipodio is an Italian family-owned company, founded in 1953 and leading the cathodic protection business in Italy since 1957.

For 60 years of activity, E. Polipodio has provided experience and expertise in cathodic protection and all the equipment required for corrosion prevention of ships, offshore, on-shore structures, ports and harbours and industrial facilities.

Most of the construction materials used in marine and industrial buildings tend to corrode.
This means that due to the environment interaction, their technological properties decay.
Cathodic protection is the technique that we apply to prevent and control the corrosion process, leading to a wide range of products and solutions for corrosion protection.
All our products are realised in a production facility, located in Genoa (Italy) that operates under an integrated certified Quality and Environmental Management System, and produces high quality materials at competitive prices.

A common method of fouling prevention on board of small boats and yacht in emergency fire intakes and seawater cooling systems is the Afoulmatic system commonly referred to as the Marine Growth Prevention System (MGPS), also known as impressed current antifouling.

ENVIRONMENT

For our Company, with a strong focus on our core foundry activity, environmental responsibility translates into concrete and measurable actions: we make available to interested stakeholders, upon request, the results of the inspections carried out over the past year on emission points in our plant.
The inspections are, of course, regularly carried out at the intervals specified in our Environmental Authorization “AUA” and the technical findings show full compliance: Total fine dust values are well within the permitted limits, ensuring an excellent operating margin.
This result confirms and certifies the absolute moderation of the Company’s production process, as well as the effectiveness of the air-abatement systems installed for outgoing emissions.
